Overseas training
Every year we run training courses to continental Europe to look at wildlife management and nature conservation in countries like Bavaria and the Netherlands.
Beaver management courses in Bavaria have been a main stay of what we do. Led by the internationally respected beaver manager Gerhard Schwab who developed the most effective systems there are in Europe for adjusting to beavers in highly developed landscape these also involve representatives from the Farmers Union, community workers with beavers, the water management authorities and professional ecologists who have studied the impact of beavers for many years on a wide guild of other wildlife. Our accommodation is rural and pleasant with many walking opportunities from our base at St Englermar and Treuchlingen. Wildlife watching and other nature interest locations such as the Bavarian National Park are visited during the week we spend on tours.
In 2025 we intend to start a new tour programme in the Netherlands to visit New Nature Sites where we can see the incredible landscape and cultural changes underway being made on behalf of wildlife.
